Laser ultrasound device PDL laser ultrasound light source
No initial setup required! The laser can be supplied with optical fiber up to 40m!
The PDL laser ultrasonic light source is a high-frequency stable laser source designed for non-contact ultrasonic inspection, requiring no initial setup. It uses the MOPA (Master Oscillator Pulsed Amplifier) method to amplify a low-output, high-stability seed laser to provide high output. Additionally, PDL's robust flash amplifier technology can be used in any environment, from laboratories to harsh factory settings. In laser ultrasonics, information is "encoded" in the laser beam reflected from the surface of the test object. To achieve optimal sensitivity with a laser ultrasonic detector, it is desirable to maximize the reference light to the test specimen. Typically, commercial CW lasers can ensure frequency stability up to a limit of about 2W. At this output in a scattering state, sufficient S/N cannot be provided. PDL was designed to overcome such issues. The laser can be supplied through optical fibers up to 40m, allowing for flexible adaptation to industrial prototypes and commercial inspection systems.
